Your Hitachi,
in Apple Home.
A Homebridge plugin that puts your Hitachi air conditioners in the Home app, with frost wash, quick mode, humidity and air quality. It works with the AirCloud Home app from Hitachi Taiwan.
Free and open source. Works with Homebridge 1.6 or later, including 2.x.
Try it. Every air conditioner gets these controls in the Home app.
Through the AirCloud Home cloud
Hitachi's Wi-Fi air conditioners are controlled through the AirCloud Home cloud, so the plugin signs in there with your account, just like the app. The cloud pushes every change to Homebridge as it happens, and if it goes down for maintenance the plugin reconnects on its own.

What you get in the Home app
Each air conditioner shows up as one accessory, with everything the plugin can control grouped together.
Power, mode and temperature
Cool, heat and auto, within the temperature range your unit reports, in 1° steps.
Fan speed
Seven steps on the slider: auto, silent, low, medium, high, rapid and express.
Humidity and air quality
Indoor humidity and a PM2.5 air quality sensor, from the unit's own readings.
Frost wash and quick mode
A notification when a frost wash is due, switches for frost wash and quick mode, and an automatic wash.
Always up to date
Changes made with the remote or the AirCloud Home app appear in the Home app within seconds.
Siri, scenes and automations
Units work like any other Home accessory, so you can ask Siri or cool the bedroom before you get home.
Frost wash, without having to remember New in 1.5
Hitachi units with frost wash (凍結洗淨) freeze and thaw the heat exchanger to rinse off dust, and tell you when it's time. The plugin turns that reminder into a sensor the Home app can notify you about, and adds a switch to start a wash.
With automatic frost wash, you don't have to act on the reminder at all: the wash starts by itself after you switch the unit off.
How automatic frost wash works
Each air conditioner gets its own 自動凍結洗淨 switch, so you choose which units wash themselves.
Turn on 自動凍結洗淨
Flip the switch on the air conditioner in the Home app.
Switch the unit off as usual
From the Home app, the remote or the AirCloud Home app. Nothing happens yet.
Five minutes later
If the unit is still off and asks for a wash, the plugin starts it. Turn the unit back on before then and it won't wash.
The frost wash, quick mode and 自動凍結洗淨 switches need Homebridge to be signed in with the unit's owner account.
For Hitachi air conditioners on AirCloud Home
Every supported unit on your account shows up automatically. There's nothing to enter per device.
- Air conditioners
- Single and multi-split units registered in the AirCloud Home app.
- Owner or shared account
- A separate account with the units shared to it is the most reliable. The frost wash and quick mode switches need the owner account.
- Dehumidifiers and air purifiers
- Recognized on the account, but not shown in HomeKit yet.
- Leave any unit out
- Tick a device in the plugin settings to keep it out of HomeKit.
Not supported: AirCloud Go
AirCloud Go is a different Hitachi app with its own cloud service. Units registered only there don't appear in this plugin.
Set it up in a few minutes
Install the plugin
In the Homebridge UI, open Plugins, search for Jci Hitachi Platform and install it.
Open the plugin settings and enter your AirCloud Home email and password. The device list shows every unit on the account.
Restart Homebridge
Your air conditioners appear in the Home app, on the bridge you already use.
Requires Homebridge 1.6 or later (2.x supported) and Node.js 18, 20, 22 or 24. Full configuration reference
Keep it free
The plugin has no ads and no paid version. If it keeps your home comfortable, a boba or a small tip helps me keep up with changes to the AirCloud Home cloud and new Homebridge releases.
Boba is paid by card. No PayPal account needed.
